Efficiency assessment of green technology innovation of renewable energy enterprises in China: a dynamic data envelopment analysis considering undesirable output

The rapid development of renewable energy enterprises has produced important benefits for contemporary efforts to address serious environmental pollution and depletion fossil resources. However, the that exists in production operation been ignored, so an objective evaluation this issue is becoming urgent. This paper established index system green technology innovation efficiency used dynamic data envelopment analysis (DEA) considering undesirable output measure enterprises, improvement potential ineffective was put forward. results show that: (1) needs be greatly improved. average score sample 0.385 over four years, only 16 were found operate effectively; (2) when effective inefficient DMUs compared, latter have significant shortfalls, especially tax, 55.71 percent; (3) different types nuclear highest, rapidly rose; (4) western region exceeded eastern central regions. could not provide a guidance local governances optimize structure sector, but also potentially reference management China.
